2020 edition of the Lausanne Marathon
The organizing committee of the Lausanne Marathon has developed a special edition “Lausanne Marathon 2020”. Here you will find the main points. Of course, the event is subject to the current developments in Switzerland and the Federal and Cantonal decisions. In case of cancellation the riders will be notified individually by e-mail of the procedure. Thank you for your understanding and sport collaboration! Thank you and be well.
Pick-up between 08:45 and 10:00
The start of the Lausanne Marathon 2020 will be on the Place/Esplanade of Bellerive-Plage. Access to this area will only be allowed to participants! Participants can choose between 08:45 and 10:00 on Sunday 25 October. The obligatory mask during the waiting at departure may be thrown into the bins provided for this purpose on the starting line. Only the marathon distance (42km195m) is planned for 2020. The course of the marathon is identical to the previous editions between the km2 and the km40 (return between Lausanne and La Tour-de-Peilz). The arrival of the Lausanne Marathon 2020 will be on the Place/Esplanade of Bellerive-Plage. Access to this area will only be allowed to participants! The public will not be admitted. Wearing the mask
Wearing the mask will be mandatory to access the room of the Auguste Piccard Complex and on the Place/esplanade of Bellerive-Plage. A mask will be given to you when taking your bib and also in your “cornet lunch finisher’s”.
Numerous disinfectants will be available at the event sites.
Changing rooms and showers
No showers will be available this year; however, the riders will be able to “change dry” in the bag room of the Auguste Piccard Complex after the race. Pour plus d’informations cliquez ici …
A trace will take place during your entry and exit from the bag room of the Auguste Piccard Complex, as well as during your entry and exit from the departure/arrival site. Your bib will also serve as a tracking device throughout your race.
Staff of volunteers
The health rules will be respected by the staff of the volunteers present on site; that is to say mask and gloves.
Exceptionally in 2020 the public will not be allowed in the departure/arrival zone on the Esplanade/Place de Bellerive-Plage.

Tracking guaranteed by your bib on 25.10
If in doubt about your health, don’t participate and come back in 2021 with a smile
Maintain the distances (the departure/arrival site allows it easily with more than 25’000m2)
Please put the mask in the requested areas (follow signage set up)
Use soaps on sites to wash your hands
Don’t shake hands with your running friends even if you are done-play at the finish
Sneeze in your elbow even while running
